The program works very well for me. I converted a few albums from WMA to mp3 very easily and quickly. I used default settings as well as my own settings for mp3 bitrates etc. These were CDs I`d ripped with Windows Media Player, and mistakenly used wma (the default) format for the ripped files.

Cyberpower makes other products, and has "links" on the user interface to find out about and buy them, and at least one is a prog to deal with DRM. The installation was very smooth, but did put a shortcut on my desktop which simply opened my default web browser to a tab with their Audio Editing Lab software web page. No trojans, no toolbars, no popups, no BS.

I don`t know what more ou could ask for, because it does exactly what it claims to, even with good options or configurability.

I run XP Pro, v5.1, SP3.

This program produces the highest quality mp3s/oggs in history. By using the best mp3 codecs, (however, being slow), such as LAME 3.96, the output sound quality is like the sound of CD audio, even though the bitrate does not match...

Fantastic! After hours and hours or searching for a program that will just convert .wma and .ogg to .mp3 I`ve found it! It does exactly what I needed it to do with out having rubbish in the way.

It worked well for me. I just needed to convert some language lessons from wma to mp3 and compress them to fix on my small mp3 player. I got a 4 to 1 compression with good quality, not so with another program I tried.

When it works, this converter is marvelous. However, I needed it for conversion of MP3 to WMA, which did not work. The resulting file was at something like double speed. When I converted to WAV, it worked. Conversion of the WAV file to WMA resulted in a file running at something like half speed.

So far, I just needed one song converted and it did a great job. I did read the notes here prior and did not install any extras as they were not needed. I would have looked for that anyhow, but thanks for the notes about it. Program seems ok so far and even better.
